SmartStrut^TM is a tubular carbon fiber helix strut that can be manufactured in multiple diameters and strengths and used to replace almost any strut application. SmartStrutTM has its roots in the aerospace industry. It is noted for its incredible strength to weight ratio and can replace a component weighing thousands of pounds with one that is stronger and weighs one twentieth or even less than the replaced material. The applications for this product are only limited by convention.

 

The SmartStrut^TM is a high-tech basic building block offered at affordable prices that is stronger, dramatically lighter, easier to install, more durable and more eco-friendly than the legacy products it replaces. The SmartStrut^TM product offers drastic install cost reductions, sharply lower transportation costs and ease of handling.

 

SmartStrut^TM is expected to replace steel, aluminum, wood and concrete in many applications over the next several years. As a basic structural element, SmartStrut^TM can be manufactured in a wide variety of geometries including but not limited to:

 

• Cylindrical
• Square/Rectangular
• Triangular
• Oval
• Airfoil
• U shaped for Glulam or other wood structures reinforcement

 

The SmartStrut^TM cylinder can be manufactured in a variety of lengths and once manufactured, the tubes can be cut to the necessary length and joined by collars or lugs. Building from the basic tubular design almost any structure can be built. The resulting product is so light that virtually any piece can be moved by hand and the manufacturing equipment required to size and assemble the product may be adapted to create any diameter of SmartStrut^TM. The interlocking collars and pieces that join the SmartStrut^TM into finished products will be manufactured from thin walled pressed carbon fiber materials.
